We collect the following personal data when you use ARK: • Authentication data: your email address and basic profile name, provided when you sign in with Google. We never receive or store any password. • Birth data: date, time and place of birth (latitude, longitude, city and timezone). This data is used exclusively to calculate your astrological chart and generate personalised interpretations. • App preferences: language, and optional display name. We do not collect payment card details. In-app purchases are handled entirely by RevenueCat and the platform app stores (Google Play / Apple App Store); we only receive a subscription status token.
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes: • Providing the core astrological service: calculating natal charts, Vedic, Western and BaZi interpretations, tarot draws, and numerological reports. • Generating AI-powered personalised narratives based on your birth data and astrological profile. • Managing your account and authenticating your sessions. • Processing subscription status and unlocking premium features. • Improving service quality through anonymised usage analytics.
Processing is carried out on the following legal bases under the GDPR: • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): processing your birth data and authentication credentials is necessary to provide the astrological service you requested. • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): improving the service, preventing fraud, and ensuring the security of our infrastructure. • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): where applicable, for optional features such as push notifications or additional analytics.
ARK uses the following sub-processors: • Google Sign-In (google.com) — authentication via your Google account; we never receive your password. Your data is stored on managed cloud database infrastructure in the EU region. • Google Cloud (cloud.google.com) — AI text generation and Text-to-Speech used solely to produce your personalised content, processed under the provider's data-processing terms. • RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — subscription and entitlement management. RevenueCat receives only anonymised user identifiers, not birth data. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
Under applicable data protection law (including the GDPR where it applies), you have the following rights: • Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. • Right to rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data. • Right to erasure ('right to be forgotten'): delete your account and all associated personal data. You can exercise this right directly in the app via Settings → Delete Account, which calls DELETE /users/account/self and permanently removes all your data from our systems. • Right to restriction: request that we limit the processing of your data. • Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. • Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests. We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data (including birth data, generated narratives, saved charts and readings) is permanently deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised analytics may be retained longer for service improvement purposes.
